Good Food, Great Friends: A weekend to Remember

Sunsets never get old!

Hello There!

There’s something so special about a weekend away with girlfriends – catching up, the sound of laughter as we reminisce, and loads of fun making new memories and new things to laugh about! Nashville gave us the perfect backdrop for a little reunion and a whole lot of fun! It was one of those weekends that filled my soul, recharged my spirit, and reminded me just how good it is to spend time with people who know my story, quirks, and all (and still like me)!

We started with a chocolate factory, which felt like stepping into a sweet-tooth wonderland. The smells alone were pure heaven, but the treats? Absolutely out of this world. It was really awesome to be able to watch chocolate being made – knowing that in just a few minutes, we’d be tasting that decadent chocolate! We each picked out a few to try (and a few to bring back home). The laughter was nonstop as we each had to put on our hair nets to go on the tour! We even nicknamed Cindy, the “ Lunch Lady”! Our guide was very nice and full of interesting info. I will have a reel of our tour on Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to go and check it out!

Our next stop was at a place called “The Factory”. It was amazing. This is where we had our first DELICIOUS meal. There was a huge variety of savory places to eat, and more importantly some mouth-watering desserts! Our favorite was at Five Daughters Bakery. It doesn’t get much better than deep-fried croissants! I found a little shop where I was able to find some Christmas cuties!! It is always a good day when I find an adorable gnome to take home with me.

Next stop… Pumpkinfest 2024 in downtown Franklin. This fall festival was in full swing, with pumpkins everywhere, booths of handmade crafts, food trucks with that unmistakable autumn aroma, and all the sights and sounds of the season. We wandered through vendors and enjoyed seeing all the handmade, beautiful, fun, and some even a little not-so-cute items people had for sale.

This was a very very small section of the market! It went on for days!!

Back at home was one of my favorite moments: across the street from Bridget’s house was the prettiest sunset over the water! It was that magic hour when the sky turned pink, orange, and gold, casting everything in a warm glow. Sunsets will never get old for me. No matter how many you see they all look brand new!

As you can see, it was an action-packed, fun-filled weekend!

After this weekend, I feel like my heart is a little fuller. It’s amazing how a few days away, some good food and plenty of laughter can bring so much joy. Leaving Nashville was bittersweet, but I know the memories we made will last until the next time. Until then, I'll be reliving the laughs, the chocolate, and that unforgettable sunset.

Lord Bless You,

Michelle
