7 Ingredient Flower Poundcake Muffins
Hello There!
It’s been a rainy day here at the Morris house, and Kyle and I wanted to make tea time cozy with some homemade goodness: Flower Poundcake Muffins with homemade strawberry compote!
Our afternoon started with the gentle rain on our windowsill, and we knew it was the perfect time to get cozy. As the kettle began to whistle, I gathered our ingredients for the pound cake muffins. With a pinch of love, I whipped up the most heavenly batter. I couldn't wait to scoop this batter into muffin pans. Not just any muffin pans though! On one of my latest thrifting adventures, I found an adorable muffin tin with flower shapes for cups!! It is SOOO cute! Using a small scoop, I filled my muffin tins and popped those little babies into the oven.
I remembered I had some strawberries that were fading fast in the fridge so while the muffins were baking, I decided to create a homemade strawberry compote to drizzle over the muffins. Oh my, the aroma of freshly cooked strawberries with a hint of vanilla and the scent of buttery pound cake filled the air, making our mouths water with anticipation! Once the muffins had cooled, I must say, they looked absolutely delightful – almost too pretty to eat!
We then made our way to the living room, tea tray in hand, filled with our muffins, and a piping hot pot of tea, honey, and cream. As we settled into our favorite chairs, the comforting warmth of our tea cups felt like a cozy hug, and we wasted no time taking our first bites of the muffins. The rich and buttery flavor of the pound cake combined with the sweet strawberry compote was pure bliss!
Sipping tea, nibbling on our muffins, autumn jazz (yes, in the spring) playing in the background, and listening to the soft rain outside made for a perfect, tea-time for 2! These special moments remind us how beautiful sharing simple pleasures with loved ones is.
So, if you're craving a cozy afternoon with a delightful treat, consider whipping up some Flower Poundcake Muffins for 2. And remember, it's not just about the recipe, but the memories you make along the way!
Happy cooking and tea time, friends!
Lord Bless You, Michelle
