Beat the Summer Heat: 3 Quick and Refreshing Drinks for Two

Summertime Berries

Hello there!

Well, summertime is here!! How are you and your sweetie enjoying your summer so far? For us, summer is a mix of fun and finding ways to stay cool.

Whether we are swimming in the pool, tending to flowers and the herb garden, or mowing the grass we love making the most of the sunny days, but we are definitely not fans of the scorching heat. Do you have any favorite ways to beat the summer heat?

After a long day working in the garden or relaxing with a good book, a delicious drink can make those summer moments even more special. One way we beat the heat is by whipping up some refreshing drinks to enjoy after a busy day outdoors. Today, I’m excited to share three of my go-to summer drinks that are perfect for two. They're quick to make, packed with flavor, and will definitely quench your thirst. The thing I love the most is that when you are making your OWN drinks, you can choose your OWN ingredients. If you are not a fan of alcohol no worries! You can still enjoy all the fun and goodness by just leaving it out. The drinks still taste delicious!! Let’s get started!

Citrus Fruit Tea

First up is a Citrus Fruit Tea that’s both invigorating and revitalizing. This drink combines the bright, zesty flavors of oranges and lemons with a surprising ingredient that will add a little sweetness and a little tart, creating a beverage that's not only delicious but also packed with vitamins. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or enjoying a backyard BBQ, this tea is the perfect companion. It’s light, tangy, and has just the right amount of sweetness to keep you coming back for more. Plus, the vibrant colors of the citrus slices make it as visually appealing as it is tasty.

Berry Delight Sangria

Next, we have a Berry Delight non-alcoholic Sangria, a fruity and festive drink that's perfect for summer evenings. Sangria is always a hit, and this version, packed with an assortment of berries, and delicious fruit juices is no exception. The combination of fresh berries infuses the drink with a natural sweetness and a beautiful deep red color. It’s a delightful way to enjoy the bounty of summer fruits while also indulging in a bit of relaxation. Whether you’re hosting a small gathering or having a quiet night in, this sangria is sure to impress. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the porch in the evening with a glass of this sangria in hand, enjoying the sunset and also watching a variety of birds along with the rabbits and squirrels.

Watermelon Cooler

Last but not least, the Watermelon Cooler is a must-try for anyone looking to stay cool and refreshed. Watermelon is the quintessential summer fruit, and this cooler takes it to the next level. The natural sweetness of watermelon paired with a hint of mint and the creaminess of coconut milk makes for a drink that’s both hydrating and revitalizing. It’s the perfect way to use up extra watermelon and create a drink that's both tasty and thirst-quenching. After spending the afternoon working in the garden, there’s nothing quite like sitting down with a refreshing Watermelon Cooler to replenish you and help you unwind.

Staying hydrated is crucial, especially during the hot summer months. These drinks are not only delicious but also help keep you hydrated in a fun and flavorful way. They’re perfect for any occasion!

I hope you’re inspired to try out these three quick, refreshing, and delicious summer drinks. They’re simple to make, full of flavor, and perfect for enjoying with your sweetie. Remember, summer is all about enjoying the little moments, and what better way to do that than with a cool drink in hand? Cheers to a vibrant and refreshing summer!
